In this 24-hour immersive course, officers learn the fundamentals of self-defense and gaining control of a physically assaultive suspect. They will also gain the ability to instruct others in these principles. The agenda contains both methodical drilling and fast-paced live action scenarios, as well as student “teach-backs” and lesson plan development.
This program was created in collaboration with several professional mixed martial artists, including UFC veterans. The techniques were adapted to fit law enforcement’s unique goal of deescalating violence while at the same time physically controlling or overcoming resistance.

Required Equipment
- T-shirt/Tac Pants

Went to the 3-day pistol red dot instructor’s course. The training had everything from basic drills to advance drills. I attended the RDS Instructor course. I had no experience with RDS pistols before the course. The instructor relayed information in a way that was easy to understand and build confidence on the sight system. There was not much lag time in the class.
