During this three-day immersive course, officers will become certified in a complete Advanced Tactical Casualty Care (ATCC) Program. The skills covered include addressing injuries in the following areas (BATH):
- Breathing
- Airway
- Tension Pneumothorax
- Hypothermia
Each officer will receive complete instruction on using the following during a medical emergency:
- Hyfin chest seals
- Gauze/Wound Packing
- Emergency Trauma Dressing (ETD)
- Tourniquets
- Quik Clot Hemorrhage Control
- Nasopharyngeal airway
- Needle Decompression
- SPO2 monitor
- Mylar blankets
- IFAK Med Kit
- Poleless litter
- Poled litter
The course will include numerous scenarios, and the student will apply all skills under stress after eliminating a threat and creating a Warm Zone (Tactical Field Care) to transition to a Cold Zone (Casualty Evacuation Area w/ Medical Personnel).
